Background Information :

In addition to advertising, we solicited bids from vendors for the purchase of two (2) special education school buses. We received bids from two (2) vendors, which are summarized on the bid request tally sheet. Individual bids were as follows:

Mid South Bus Center – $98,348.00
Cumberland International – $95,633.37

Staff Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the lowest bid that meets all the specifications. With this approval, it is the intent of the Board and management that no liability will be incurred, nor a purchase order issued, until the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017.
